Car Sharing in
Practice Brochure (italian version) part 2 Brochure (italian version) part 1 Brochure (italian version) part3 Brochure (italian version) part 4 Highlights include:
This event is organised in parallel to the UITP
conference on Electronic Fare Collection and the EUROPOLIS
exhibition on Traffic and Circulation. Pilot projects have shown that car sharing could be a convenient complement to public transport and a credible alternative to car ownership. Building on these strenghts the TOSCA project has aimed to support the take-up of IT-based car sharing as an element of flexible and intermodal door-to-door mobility. Project partners have developed and implemented a car sharing service in Bologna, based on the experience of Bremen. This project, funded by the European Commission's IST programme, has also aimed to identify and promote best practice for car sharing in Europe. |
